Dicks hit some good ones but they were pure power really. Not better or worse, but different. For technical ability the only one I can think of that comes close was Dom Hutchison against Spurs, years ago. It really was beautiful wasn't it?

Best I've seen, and did we love it. I ended up upside down again one or two rows in front of my seat, just like after Ogbonna's goal v Liverpool. Absolute bedlam in the away end when that went in off the post. Beautiful.

My Tottenham mate unsurprisingly says Gazza's in semi final FA cup in 91 was better, it was 35 yards out against Seaman.
I and it's unbiased disagree, Payet was slightly nearer but he curled it as oppose to Gazza's who hit it hard.
Both great but which was really better?

Remember a Dicksy' howitzer v Oxford Utd ... 5-2 IIRC?? As he hit the ball it was rising all the way until it thundered into the net... if the keeper would have touched him it would have killed him... STONE dead... Julian would have been up for manslaughter... Fact-a-mondo... almost

The bend was phenomenal. I didn't think he had any right shooting against a goalie of De Gea's quality from that distance but the swerve and dip left him with no chance.

DICKSY'S free-kick Vs Forest at The City Ground in 94/95 springs to mind. Incredible strike. Power (and placement) instead of bending it though.
Yeah, I loved that goal - me and Ronnie were right behind it, top corner. We were in relegation trouble, and Forest had just beaten Sheff Wednesday 1-7 and had won 12 on the bonk, or suffink like that?
